Condor

he condor, one of the largest birds in the world, can measure up to 1.3 meters in height and reach a wingspan of 3.6 meters with wings outstretched. With a majestic and solitary flight, this monogamous and long-lived species – capable of living more than 70 years – is the national bird of Chile and is present on our coat of arms as a symbol of greatness and freedom.

A regular inhabitant of the Andes Mountains, the condor finds in the Cajón del Maipo a perfect environment to soar to heights of up to 7,000 meters.

Inspired by its imposing presence and profound meaning, artist Sergio Andrade decided to subtly integrate it into the construction of Casa Bosque. The sculpture, located on top of the roof, remains unnoticed by many visitors, but from the heights it silently observes, like a guardian of the Andean spirit that inhabits this place.

That same spirit of connection with the mountain is what today drives Casa Bosque Expediciones, a new adventure tourism initiative that was born with the purpose of positioning Cajón del Maipo as a world-class tourist destination, bringing our visitors closer to nature, history and the magic of this privileged environment.
