Our History

n 1998 Cristian Becker asked artist Sergio Andrade to build Casa Bosque. He was in charge of the design and construction, which lasted about two years and was completed in 2000.
The house was built with more than 8,600 discarded tires, which were recycled to make the walls, which were then covered with adobe. The artist chose this technique to achieve curved interior spaces.
The wood is from fallen cypress trees brought from the coastal area of Cahuil. The wooden pieces were worked by the artist with a chainsaw (photo on the second floor).
A large part of the ironwork corresponds to pieces rescued from the old locomotives used in the sawmills of that time.
All the exposed stonework corresponds to material from quarries in the area, worked by local craftsmen.
The iron chandeliers are the work of the artist Calos Russel, the main entrance chandelier weighs about 2 tons.
The ceiling mural is the work of Vittorio Queirolo, a renowned Chilean painter and cousin of Claudia Queirolo.
Lyott’s design and sculpture are the work of artist Nicolas Miranda. Internationally recognized sculptor who is currently eradicated in Europe.
